Where We Meet

Makom Shelanu meets at First Congregational Church.  We are grateful to work with a church that shares a similar passion for valuing all people.  You can expect to be see welcoming signage and a plethora of rainbows.

When We Meet

Makom Shelanu currently meets once a month for shabbat morning service at 10:30.  You can expect the service to last approximately one and a half hours.

What to Expect

You can expect to be greeted and embraced by a friendly community seeking to include people of all backgrounds.

Makom Shelanu is an egalitarian community.

Makom Shelanu, while unaffiliated, has a Reform mindset with a traditional service.

You can expect to find the major aspects of a shabbat morning present, with an emphasis placed on a liturgy in Hebrew accompanied by interpretive readings in English.  You will hear (and sing!) music both modern and familiar that allows you to be immersed in some of the ancient sounds of our liturgy while also celebrating the tradition of Jewish music that extends into the present day.
